This sleek black beauty is Anna. She was a stray that my Mom found hanging out in our backyard, which was not surprising since the word on the street was if you were a homeless cat or dog and wanted a tasty seafood meal, cold mountain spring water, clean and luxurious accommodations (i.e. like 50 or so plush cat beds to sleep on any where in the house!), with a top of the line medical plan from the local vet, then come one come all to our house and chances are we’ll adopt you (of course, we did!). Although this affectionate feline loved the outdoors (she was quite the huntress), Anna happily joined our indoor kitty cat clan. Here she’s relaxing atop the dryer; she loved the heat. |

This sleeping little angel is Scarlett. My Dad gave her to my Mom as a birthday gift and Mom, of course, fell in love with her. I’m not sure why, but my Dad nicknamed her “Poopsie” as an endearment and that’s where our company’s name came from!

Here’s Tiffany hanging out on a lazy afternoon. This gray & white green-eyed beauty initially had a very sweet disposition until an opossum attacked her in our backyard as she was sunning herself. Dad humanely captured the opossum in a cage and released it in the hills near our home. After that harrowing incident, Tiffy was never the same. She became very scared and defensive. Sometimes she would hiss or try to bite or scratch you. Still, Tiffy was much loved and we knew she loved us. |

This big boy is Ruffy. He was another stray (wandering the neighborhood) that we adopted. When we found him he was so disheveled and dirty (although he didn’t seem to mind), we named him Rough-It. Although quite large, he was very sweet, loved boxes, and got along well with the other cats (Alex absolutely idolized him). |

This white & gray outstretched guy is Ruggles. We called him Rugs or Rugsy. He was part Siamese with beautiful blue eyes and a very sweet disposition, but very passive. Next to him is Randy or whom we affectionately called “Randy Boy”, a charcoal black, green-eyed stunner. Unlike Rugs, Randy Boy was quite the hunter and would strategically catch and kill any mouse that encroached his territory. On a regular basis, Randy would go lizard hunting in our yard and bring back live, wriggly tails and give them to Rugs to play air hockey with on our patio. Randy loved Rugsy very much and was extremely protective of him. They were brothers to the end and the best of buds. Here, they’re relaxing in the laundry room. |

This is my Mom holding Alex. We called him Alley Cat. Yes, he was that beautiful! He was our own little San Diego panda bear! Alex was very independent and loved dairy products. One Thanksgiving we were horrified and a bit amused at the same time to discover Alley Cat on the dining room table happily licking the butter from the butter dish! We sure do miss the little rascal! |

This blonde bombshell is our family pet, Lucy. We sometimes call her Lucy Lou, or Looly, or just Lu. Like with many of our cats, my mom (a devoted animal lover), found Lucy wandering outside the house 10 years ago. Even though my parents put up flyers around the neighborhood and a “Lost & Found” ad in the paper, no one claimed her. So my parents decided to give her a home. After all, what’s one more pet when you’ve already got a house of cats? Lucy loves to take her daily walks and just goes bonkers over her bones. She has a wonderful personality and a very sweet disposition, although she’s not a big fan of the mailman. She goes ballistic! Postal carriers…they just can’t get a break. |
